WHAT ACTUALLY HELPED
This isn’t a packing list.
It’s just a few things that made travel easier when I wasn’t feeling particularly sorted.
Some of these are affiliate links - if you buy through them, I may earn a small commission. No pressure. Just things I’ve actually used or would recommend.

The black pants I wore on repeat
I didn’t pack much for Fiji, but I practically lived in one pair of soft black pants.
Nothing tight, nothing to think about.
Just easy. They worked on the plane, walking around, even when I couldn’t be bothered deciding what to wear.
I’ve kept wearing them since I got back. Which probably says enough.

Headphones for when everything felt a bit loud
This wasn’t about music.
It was about creating a bit of quiet when my head wouldn’t shut up - on the plane, in airports, in those weird in-between moments.
Not essential.
But they helped more than I expected.

A proper notebook
I went old school and put pen to paper when I was on holiday.
When I needed to get out of my own head, this helped.

The bag I didn’t have to think about
It wasn’t anything special.
But it did what I needed without me having to think about it.
No digging around. No rearranging. No second-guessing. Nice and easy.
I got the 55cm - It's small enough to be cabin luggage and strong enough to last.

Most of this isn’t essential. But when you're travelling, the small stuff can make more difference than you expect.
